  1. I don't understand. 'Education' isn't an ability. Does Frost mean 'The ability to educate...' or does he mean 'Being educated gives one...' or something else? Whaddaya think, ISW?

  2. I think he means that to be educated is to acquire the ability to... If I have been given an education then I have been given the ability to...

    That's how I read it anyway.
